He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Earl Ruland and Martha Mary Ruland of Cobleskill, NY.. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jeanne Charity; his son Casey (Lisa); his grandchildren, Gillian and Caitlin; his children, Gillian (Kevin) and Caitlin; and his siblings, Donald (Mary Kelly) and Beth (Robin). He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
