He is survived by: his children, Brenda Cooper of Richmondville, Dawn Handy of Baldwin, Richard Nirschl, Jr. of Spanaway and Mel Nirschl of Cobleskill; and his siblings, Allan, Edwin, David, Stephen, Betty Cullen, Margaret Becker, Josephine King and Susan Davis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
