He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Arthur and Lucretia "Vera" Putnam (Hathaway); his wife Sandra Rice Putnam; his siblings, Victor, Carl, Quintin, Harold and Imogene (Shirley Kunz); and his grandfather Raymond.
He is survived by: his nephews, Victor E. of Cobleskill, Steven of Cobleskill and Andre Putnam of Cobleskill; his niece Penelope Young (Doug) of Bridger, Montana; his extended family, Jim, Tracey Himme, Edward, Jay and Jill Kunz; and his grandsons, Eddy Kunz and Matthew Kunz.
At Ray's request, no formal services will be held, but his request for memorial donations may be made to the Beards Hollow Church, Building & Grounds Fund, care of Scott Barton, Beards Hollow Society, PO Box 32, Cobleskill, NY 12043.
