He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee F. Empie and Nancy Empie (Mattice); and his siblings, Louis, Ernest, Robert Empie, Marion Purcell Frisco and Idella Fort.
He is survived by: his spouse Ruth Empie (Maynard); his children, Carol Jump of Fort Mill, SC, Sandra Torrant (John) of Cary, NC, Lee F. Empie III and Janet Hewitt (Todd); his sister Gladys Braman of Queensberry, NY.; and his friend Helen Brown of Cobleskill. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Lee would like you to smile and laugh more, be kind and fair to everyone, and live a committed life to the journey God has set before you.
