It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Virginia Bever of Cobleskill, New York, who passed away on March 25, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Joyce Virginia had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Joyce Virginia may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wendell VanSteenburg and Nellie Whitbeck; her husband James J. Bever; her daughter Kimberly Jo Bever; and her brothers, Alfred "Red" VanSteenberg and Ronald Whitbeck.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vicki Harrington and Tammy Makarowski; and her brother William VanSteenburg, Sr.. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cobleskill Rural Cemetery (151 Quarry St, Cobleskill, NY 12043).
