With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ira Jan Gelber (Cobleskill, New York), who passed away on March 20, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Gelber and Pearl Gelber; his brothers, Arnold and Michael Gelber; his nephew Danny Gelber; his parents-in-law, Pierce and Winnie Wentworth; and his siblings-in-law, John Wentworth, Calvin Wentworth, Mitch Gary, Kay Buhler and Mary Wentworth.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Wentworth Gelber; his children, Rachel Gelber Schmitz (Nicholas Schmitz II), Ethan Schmitz, Joshua Gelber and Harper; his siblings-in-law, David Wentworth, William Wentworth (Caroline), Craig Wentworth (Bonnie), Jan Wentworth, Kim Wentworth (Richard Tracy) and Melanie Gelber; and his niece Sharon Gelber (Gary Friedman). He is also survived by many other nieces, and nephews.
