He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Potter and Dorothy Potter (Shulte); and his siblings, Edward, Judith and Roberta.
He is survived by: his significant other Cecelia; his sons, Jeffrey Potter (Sharon) of Schenectady and David Potter (Paula) of Schenectady; his grandsons, Christian of Watervliet, Aaron and Brandon of Schenectady; his great grandchild Bailey of Watervliet; and his sister Claudia King (Larry) of Schenectady. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
