He was predeceased by: his wife Geraldine Barton (Ruland); and his sister Lauretta Geier (Barton). He is survived by: his children, Sandra Kerns (Jack) and Scott Barton (Cindy); his grandchildren, Kim Outerbridge, Rebekah Barton, Nathaniel Barton and Jared Barton; and his siblings, James P. Barton, Imer "Spike" Barton and Janet Waldorf (Barton).
