She was predeceased by: her parents, Fayette J. Olmstead and Ellen Shepard Olmstead; her husband Charles E. Smith; her daughter Kaye Smith; her siblings, Martha Cheshier, Glenna Lewis, Evalyn Sumner and William Sumner; and her son-in-law Jerry Elder.

She is survived by: her children, Beth Barnes (Jim) of Jamestown, NY, Doug Smith (Gidgit) of Clymer, NY and Connie Rice (Jeff) of North Clymer, NY; her grandchildren, Crystal Surdyk, Holly Snyder, Marcie Brown (Mike), Lena Wiedemann (Eric), Nate Smith, Amanda Rice, Kyle Rice (Angela) and Ryan Rice (Mayra); and her sister Dorothy Allenson of Sugar Grove, PA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations can be made to the North Clymer UMC or the Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care (20 W. Fairmount Ave, Lakewood, NY 14750).
