He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Bitteker and Edna Bitteker (Herter); and his brother James Bitteker. He is survived by: his wife Jackie; his daughters, Shelley (James Lee) and Rebecca (Kyle Hoyt); his grandchildren, Ryan, Lauren Lee, Shaun Hoyt, Aaron Hoyt, Kaylee Hoyt and Bryce Lee; his great grandchild Jameson Lee; his brother Raymond; his sister-in-law Fran Bitteker; his sister Ann; and his brother-in-law Tony Cantore. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
