He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert A. Armstrong and Helen Armstrong (Kistner); his son David Robert Armstrong; and his siblings, Dorothy Peeling (Kenneth Armstrong) and Theodore "Bud" Armstrong (Janet "Judy" Dzwonkas).
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Jilson; his daughters, Colleen (Carl Thomas) and Cathleen (James Mulvihill Jr.); his grandchildren, Christine, David and James (Meilyn); his great grandchild Ruby; his sister-in-law Dorothy Armstrong; and his close friends, Craig Horak and Sheila Sunderhaft. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
