He is survived by: his close friend Marge Turner; his children, Joseph Shepherd of Utica, Ann Beehner (Mark) of Clay and Mary Shepherd of Westmoreland; his grandchildren, Eric Doherty (Kristen), Michelle Doherty, Dominic and Ashley Slate (Matthew); his siblings, Gertrude Flint and Jack; his sister-in-law Eileen Shepherd; his son-in-law Stephen Doherty; and his friend Robin Inman.
