He was predeceased by: his sons, Charles A. Bishop and Thomas C. Bishop; and his sister Esther Taber. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Bishop; his daughter Mary Shurts (William); and his grandchildren, Erin Karl (Brian) and W. Matthew Shurts. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
