He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Heitzman and Ida Heitzman; his siblings, Warren Henry Heitzman (Dorothy) and Gloria Heitzman Cichon (Robert); and his nephew David Cichon.

He is survived by: his nephews, Alan Heitzman (Mary), Russell Cichon and Douglas Cichon (Paula); his niece Linda Storonsky (Michael); and his son Scott Heitzman.
