He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Sokolowski and Rachel Sokolowski (Banewicz). He is survived by: his wife Benita Sokolowski; his children, Sara and Greg Sokolowski (Antoinetta); his grandchildren, Ally, Nick and Lilliana; and his sister Sandy McKay (Scott).

The family kindly requests donations to be made in Bernie's memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, PO Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
