He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee J. and Mary; his spouse Joan Vaughan (Missert); his child Francine Kempa (Adam); his sibling Robert (Mary); and his grandchild Christopher Kempa.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Putnam (Michael), William T. Jr. (JoAnne) and Mary "Molly"; his siblings, Bernard (Angeline), Ann Marie and Thomas Vaughan; and his grandchildren, Kelly Putnam, Joan Putnam, William A. Vaughan (Stephanie) and Adam W. Kempa (Sarah Fabian). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
