He was predeceased by: his parents, Watson Walden and Eva Walden Smith (Richmond); his stepfather Craig Smith (Watson) of Rexville; his sister Dorothy Walden Albert; his stepsiblings, Myrtle Smith Kilburn, Edith Smith Wallace, Charles Smith (Bud) and Stanley Smith; and also Angela Ogden.
He is survived by: his wife Alayne of North Hornell; his children, Paula Thompson (David) of Yarmouth, ME, Patricia Harrison (Michael) of East Boothbay, ME, Stephen Walden (Barbara) of Churchill, VA and Watson Walden (Michelle) of Farmington, NY; his stepsons, Scott Ogden of Hornell and Joshua B Ogden of Portland, OR; and his nephew Rev. Gregory Albert (Barbara Smith). He is also survived by grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
