It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald A. Bearup of Clayton, New York, born in Watertown, New York, who passed away on May 31, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Melvin Henry Bearup Sr. and Teresa Jane Bogenschutz; his children, Jay Bearup (Andrea Cahalan), Clayton and Jerrie-Lynn Emerton (Jon); his sister Ellen Stiefel (Gordon); his granddaughters, Isabelle and Sophia Emerton; his wife Sherry Bearup; and his brothers, Melvin and Francis Bearup. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
