He is survived by: his wife Jeanette; his sons, James Shumsky Jr. (Robert Ramirez) and Michael Shumsky; and his siblings, Marcia Himmel (Ray), Reginia McCune (Roy), Thomas and Joseph Shumsky. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
