He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Emerson; his parents, Clarence Emerson and Gertrude Emerson; and his siblings, Shirley Straka (late James) and Raymond Emerson.

He is survived by: his children, Mark Emerson (Deborah) and Candace Mace (Daniel); his grandchildren, Kyle Mace (Crystal), Christian Emerson, Nicholas Mace (Phoebe), Joshua Mace and Victoria Mace; and his great grandchildren, Cordelia and Clader Mace. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
