He was predeceased by: his wife Charlene V. Kern; and his brother John Kern. He is survived by: his children, Kenneth (Barbara), Douglas (Ann) and Michelle Berchou (Daniel R.); his grandchildren, Megan Mertzlufft (Matthew), Andrew (Ashley), Peter (Kelly), Phillip, Elizabeth Kern and Bradley Berchou; and his great grandchildren, Henley, Hayden and Conrad. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Harris Hill Chapel (8440 Main St, Buffalo, NY 14221). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church (4375 Harris Hill Rd, Buffalo, NY 14221). A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (800 Pine Ridge Heritage Blvd, Cheektowaga, NY 14225).
