She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Gernovich and Phyllis Gernovich (Pardoe); her husband Roy Donald Sherman; her grandson Mark Daniel Sherman; her brother Walter Gernovich; and her brother-in-law Fred Samples.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Sherman (Susan) of Ashville and Donna Rose Henson (Steve); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Sherman, Rachel Lonsberry (Alex), Matt Sherman, Jimmy Henson and Charlie Henson; her great grandchild Anneliese Lonsberry; and her siblings, Alexander Gernovich (Doris) and Mary Samples. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
