He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Rice and Joanna Torrey Rice; his sister Janette Rice; and his stepfather Bruce McDonald. He is survived by: his significant other Judith Cass; his stepchildren, William Cass, Timothy Cass (Kristine) of Pitcher and Tina Knickerbocker (Donald II) of Cincinnatus; and his brothers, John Rice (Pat) of Cincinnatus, Jim Rice (Lorelei) of Cincinnatus, Jay Rice (Julie) of Cincinnatus, Joel Rice (Pam Ross) of Cincinnatus and Jerry Rice (Nicole) of DeRuyter. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several stepbrothers, stepsisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
