He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Downs and Carolyn Sawyer Downs; his granddaughter Aubrey; his siblings, Charles Downs and Roxanne Killebrew; and his nephew William Killebrew, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Mary Upham Downs; his sons, James Downs (Jennifer) of Burke, VA and Jeremy Downs (Amy) of DeRuyter; his grandchildren, Neyla, Evan, Cassandra, Hannah and Emma; his siblings, David Downs of Hawaii and Mary Wemple (Delbert) of Maryland; and his brother-in-law William Killebrew (Mary) of Cincinnatus. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Home (5736 Telephone Rd, Cincinnatus, NY 13040). A masonic service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the United Presbyterian Church of Cincinnatus (5695 Deerpath Ln, Cincinnatus, NY 13040).
