Marian E. Thompson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marian E. Thompson of Cicero, New York, born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 4, 2024 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Thompson; her brother Irving; her sister-in-law Shirley Moyer; and her grandson Blair Thompson. She is survived by: her children, Michael (Julie Thompson), Christopher (Terry Thompson), Gregory (Dawn Thompson), Vincent (De'La Thompson), Thomas Thompson (Carolyn Gherardi), Margaret Thompson of Rome, Scott Rutledge and Shawn Hannafon; her granddaughter Jessica; and her friend Dr. Anthony Cotronea. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home (807 W Chestnut St, Rome, NY 13440). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 10th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:55 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (5748 Stokes Lee Center Rd, Lee Center, NY 13363).
