With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James W. Cavanaugh of Cicero, New York, born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on November 18, 2023 at the age of 63. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James W. Cavanaugh to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cavanaugh and Mercedes Cavanaugh. He is survived by: his wife Mary Cavanaugh; his sons, Jimmer (Julianne Dixon) and Colin Cavanaugh (Emily Evans); his stepson Zach Burrell (Madison Campbell); and his siblings, Marihelen Curry (Steve) and Tim Cavanaugh (Donna). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hungry for Music, at https://hungryformusic.org, to carry on Jim's musical legacy and help get instruments into the hands of kids in need.
