He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen; his siblings, Kenneth and Helen; his parents, Frank Saurman and Helen Saurman; and his daughters, Mary Beth and Patricia.

He is survived by: his children, Michele Bellso Buckingham (Jim), Beth Thompson (Dean) and Thomas Saurman (Cynthia); his grandchildren, Julianna Bellso, Zhara Saurman, Lyndsey Hodkinson and Chris Buckingham; and his great grandchildren, Gianna, Jack Hodkinson, Chloe Buckingham and Quinn Wilke. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
