He was predeceased by: his wife Alta Ayers. He is survived by: his children, Pattie Fao (Sam), Brian Ayers (Patti) and Joshua Ayers (Grace); and his stepdaughters, Lana Kuhns and Lisa Brown (Terrence). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in his memory to Community Christian Church, 2647 Chili Avenue, Rochester, NY, 14624.
