He was predeceased by: his daughter Deborah Schaefer; and his granddaughter Sarah Reece. He is survived by: his children, Steven E. Schaefer (Amy) of Endwell and Roberta Lynn Clarke (Robert Johnson) of Fayetteville; his brother William Schaefer (Lisi) of Cazenovia; and his grandchildren, Selena, Michael, Allison, Danielle and Lea.
