It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William J. Murray of Chester, New York, born in Middletown, New York, who passed away on September 12, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry L. Muray Sr. and Lillian Murray (Diffily); and his siblings, Jean Murphy, Elizabeth Carey, Barbara Karl, Harry Jr., Robert, James and John Murray (Carole Marshall).

He is survived by: his sister Mary Kay Campbell of Arizona; and his close friend Eileen Hand. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, September 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home (82 S Church St, Goshen, NY 10924). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St Columba Church (31 High St, Chester, NY 10918).

In lieu of flowers Bill's family requests that memorial donations be made in his name to the Goshen Historic Track and The Fireman's Home in Hudson, NY.
