Rita Zaharchuk Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Zaharchuk (Chester, New York), born in Troy, New York, who passed away on June 7, 2019, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Rowe and Charles Rowe; her daughter Jean; and her siblings, Marge, Eleanor, Dorothy, Ruth, Ethel, Marion, Warren and William.
She is survived by: her husband Nicholas; her son John (Susan) of Bluebell, PA; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexander, Peter, Geoffrey, Katherine, Christopher and Terese; and her sisters, Jean Vertetes of Kingston, NY and Helen Olsen of Kingston, NY. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting, if one wishes, to please make a contribution in Rita's name to either St. Columba R.C. Church, 27 High Street, Chester, NY 10918, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
