He was predeceased by: his parents, Dominic J. Masella and Antoinette H. Masella (DeSalvo); his former wife Phyllis Masella; his son Peter J. Masella, Jr.; his grandson Christopher M. Garrett; his close friend Frank Rich; and his uncle Charlie DeSalvo.
He is survived by: his wife Marguerite E. Masella (Fitzpatrick); his sister Virginia Masella Cox of New Windsor, NY; his niece Kerri Sullivan; his nephew Matthew Cox; his children, Philomena Kaczor, Dominic Masella, Christopher Masella (Norine), David Masella (Rachel), William Lawlor (LouAnn), Mark Lawlor, Matthew Lawlor (Melissa), Todd Lawlor and Adam Lawlor (Linda); his grandchildren, Jeremy Garrett, Megan Chambers (Lawlor), Lindsey Lawlor, Meghan Oretsky, Catherine Kaczor, Lewis, Brian Masella, Mark, Michael, Timothy Lawlor, A. J., Matthew Lawlor, Jake, Shane Lawlor, Regan and Piper Masella; and his great grandchildren, Madison Garrett, James Zolko, Peyton and Ryan Chambers. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
