She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo James Yost and Mary Ellen Frank Yost; her husband John Lutjens; her son John S. Sutherland (Bonnee); her granddaughter Jessee Sutherland; and her sisters, Lela Dombrowski, Leota Gentile and Rosemary Horne.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Sutherland (Colleen) and Jean Barrett (Okey); her daughter-in-law Canh Sutherland; and her grandchildren, Phuong, Dave, Tim, Scott and Jackie. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
