He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Oakes and Janice Oakes; and his brother Danny Lee Oakes. He is survived by: his wife Debra; his children, Dylan Oakes (Christy) and Heather Payne (Sean); his stepdaughter Laurie Newcomb; his grandchildren, Caden, Caysie, Natalie, Joshua, Taran, Damon, Landon, Gaige and Onalee; and his siblings, Deborah Miller (Scott), Dawn Klaun (Tarry) and Daryl Oakes. He is also survived by Three great grandchildren.
