She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur M. Lucia and Muriel E. Lucia (Bowes); her son Douglas Gardner; and her siblings, Beatrice Fitch (Lucia), Carl Lucia, Helen Tuckerman (Lucia) and Claude Lucia.

She is survived by: her children, David Gardner (Elinor) and Pamela Johnson; her daughters-in-law, Laurie Elliott and Joanie Gardner; her grandchildren, Brandy Gardner, Danielle Gardner, Adam Gardner, Dennis Gardner (Sabrina), Drew Gardner (Chris), Bobby Story, Vanessa Vaverchak (Greg), Christopher Strader (Heather) and Jack Teetor (Mindy); her great grandchildren, Dylan Gardner, Kira Gardner, Keenan Glover, Kyair Summers, Gavin Gardner, Easton Gardner, Natalie Vaverchak, Lydia Vaverchak, Hailey Teetor, Jenna Teetor and Henry Teetor; and her pet Vallie. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
