He was predeceased by: his parents, Chauncey Simmons and Louise Vermilya Simmons; his sisters, Marie Cleveland, Grace Kiefer and Virginia Zellers; and his wife Henryka "Rysia" Flecker Simmons.

He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Romanczuk (Peter), David Simmons (Sally), Sandra Simmons (Rick), Lorraine Colistra (Gerard), Christine French (Tom) and Mark Simmons (Darlene). He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
