Rowena Fairchild Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 30, 2022, at the age of 97, Rowena Fairchild of Chenango Bridge, New York, born in Monticello, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur L. Shafer and Helena Terwilliger Shafer; her husband Floyd Fairchild; her brother Howard Shafer; and her son-in-law Paul Lavassar.

She is survived by: her brother Lloyd Shafer; her children, Jeffrey Fairchild (Donna) and Pamela Lavassar; her grandchildren, Tim Lavassar, Leah McCoy (Nate) and Jordan Dunlap (Dale); and her great grandchildren, Evolette McCoy and William McCoy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
