We are sad to announce that on August 15, 2024, at the age of 97, Richard C. LaBend of Cheektowaga, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Labendzki and Anna Labendzki; and his siblings, Fred Labendski and Shirley Christiano. He is survived by: his wife Gloria LaBend; his children, Richard LaBend (Lisa) and Rand LaBend (Annmarie); his stepdaughters, Deborah Acanfora (Howard) and Karen Zelak (David); and his grandchildren, Brandon LaBend, Trevor LaBend, Patrick Wannicki (Elizabeth), Michael Acanfora, Jason Acanfora, Alexa Zelak (Andre Monroe) and Jacob Zelak. He is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren, nephew and 2 nieces.
