He was predeceased by: his wife Joan; and his siblings, Estelle Ballman, Herman, Edward and Robert Biryla.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathleen Biryla (Maria Reed); his stepgreat-grandsons, Evan, Mason, Carter and Logan; and his sibling Sandy Rex (late Dale). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
