She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Pittner and Peter Pittner Sr.; her husband Donald Szalasny Sr.; her son Peter Szalasny; and her brother Peter Pittner Jr. (Bonnie).
She is survived by: her children, Donald Szalasny Jr., Linda Goulding (Gregory), Denise Pikuzinski (Roland) and Julie Duk; her child-in-law Thomas Duk; her grandchildren, Kenneth Goulding (Ashley), Jonathan Goulding (Carly), Kyle Duk, Trevor Duk, Garrett Duk and Zachary Pikuzinski; and her sisters, Theresa Kolasny (Edwin) and Patricia (late Larry Wheeler). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pietszak Funeral Home (2400 William St, Cheektowaga, NY 14206). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Josaphat Parish (20 Peoria Ave, Buffalo, NY 14206). A burial was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Matthew's Cemetery (180 French Rd, West Seneca, NY 14224).
