It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald J. Polik (Cheektowaga, New York), who passed away on February 21, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sister Barbara Polik; and his son-in-law Steven Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Polik; his daughters, Kimberly Johnson and Jeannine Smith (late George); his grandchildren, Ashley Johnson, Chelsea Rohl (Marc), Alexis Schmelzle (Kyle), Justin and Jordan Smith; his great grandchild Chasyn; and his sister Eleanor Kosmoski. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Genesee Chapel (3645 Genesee St, Cheektowaga, NY 14225). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Resurrection Church (130 Como Park Blvd, Cheektowaga, NY 14227). The military honors will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:45 PM at the same location.
