He was predeceased by: his brother Jerome Spencer. He is survived by: his children, Erin, Fritsch, Stephen, Susan, Michael and Pamela; his grandsons, Collin and Tyler Fritsch; his sister Marilyn Stolp (David); and his sister-in-law Colleen Spencer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital or The National Forest Foundation.
