He was predeceased by: his parent Vivian A. Taylor Sr.; and his siblings, Estelle James, Addie Lou Friday, Robert Taylor and Charles Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Lula Taylor; his parent Pinky Lee Ramseur Taylor; his children, Lavon Cruz (Jose) of Jamestown and Myron Taylor of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Michael Shackelford-Taylor II of Philadelphia, PA and Claudine Taylor of Charlotte, NC; his great grandchild Shaquille Pearson-Kinsey of Falconer; his great great grandchild Kali Pearson of Frewsburg; and also Flossie Parks of Arlington. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
