He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Heinz and Louise Schmidt Heinz. He is survived by: his wife Wendy; his children, Sandra Heinz Hamilton (Rand) of Reston, VA and Charles Edward "Ted" Heinz (Mia) of Stockholm, Sweden; his grandchildren, Chase, Kate and Sofia; and his sister Lisa Heinz of New York City. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
