He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Edward Barton and Marion Myers Barton; his former spouse Marsh Schmitte; and his children, William of Chaumont, Kenneth (Vicki) of Chaumont, John (Candy) of Chaumont, Edward (Amy) of Chaumont, Lisa, Teresa Davenport (Dan), Trina Rust, Sherri Middlestate (Brett) and Kristin Henderson. He was also cherished by 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
