Barry T. Bartlett Obituary
Barry Bartlett (December 15, 1952 – March 14, 2024), unexpectedly passed away from a brain aneurysm today. He is a much-loved husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and teacher. Barry had a natural ability to connect and engage with others. His easy kindness, humor, gentleness, compassion, and creative vision will be missed. His passions included a rich, artistic life creating and exhibiting sculpture and works on paper, teaching art for 34 years at Bennington College, VT, cooking, exploring nature and being present with friends and family. Barry shared his life with his wife of 38 years Liz and son Sam, his brother Robert Bartlett, sister Jacquelyn Bartlett, brothers-in-law Walter Zawada and Steven Rochkind, sisters-in-law Kathe Bartlett, Maria and Mary Ann Zawada and nephews Andrew Myers, Paul, Robert and Jet Johnston, Walter, Nicholas and Vincent Zawada along with dear colleagues, students and friends. Barry has been a gift to all our connected lives as he openly shared all he had and was ever willing to discover what life could bring. He will be forever and always loved and held in our hearts. He has forever and always changed each of us .Services will be announced at a later date.
