Ruth LaPlante Obituary

With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ruth LaPlante of Chateaugay, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ruth left this world on September 1, 2024 at the age of 78, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Evelyn Langlois (Marlow) and Richard Langlois; her husband Arnold LaPlante (Chasm Falls) of Helen's Church; her children, Tammy Titus (Marvin) of Chateaugay, Connie Merrill (Gib) of Chateaugay, Trudy LaTour (Warren) of Malone and Paul LaPlante (Shelly) of Chateaugay; her siblings, Wayne (Margaret), Alton (Barbara), Leland (Sharon) and Karen Paquin; her stepsister Nancy LaComb; her sister-in-law Joan Jones; her brother Bruce Langlois; her brother-in-law Paul Paquin; and her friends, North and South. She was also cherished by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruth's memory to the Chateaugay Food Pantry, where she volunteered for many years.
