She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Gillett and Addie Gillett (Doody); her daughter Karen Kavanaugh; and her siblings, Ida Wilson and Clarence.

She is survived by: her uncles, Lyle and Mort Gillett; her aunt Eleanor Gillett; her children, Jim Kavanaugh (Brenda) of Henrietta, David Kavanaugh (Lisa) of Plattsburgh and Patti Robertson (Rob Stout) of Chateaugay; her grandchildren, Gary Nye (Tiffany), Rob (Krissy), Jill Kavanaugh, Taylor Robertson (Brandon LaShomb), Cammi, Chloe Champagne, Alex and Noah Stout; her great grandchildren, Shaelyn Nye, Josie, James Kavanaugh and Samuel LaShomb; her siblings, Kimball Gillette (Alice), Donald Gillette (Nancy), Jeff Gillette (Lucy) and Barbara Miller (Leon); her sister-in-law Anne Gillette; and her friend Veronica Miller.
