Hillis of Charlotteville, New York, born in Davenport, New York, who passed away on December 28, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George M. Hillis and Mary Hillis (Boyes); his wife Mabel S. Hillis; his daughter Linda Salvage; his sons-in-law, Lawrence Salvage and Gregory Overholtzer; and his brother Arthur Hillis.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Smith (Robert) of Carlisle, George Hillis (Linda) of Morris, Cathleen Overholtzer of Bangor, ME and Douglas Hillis (Melanie) of Charlotteville; and his sisters, Nellie Dent of Middlefield, Irene Buel of Delhi, Mollie Young (Marvin) of Ray Brook and Joyce Shoemaker (Clifford) of Mosheim, TN. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren.
