“What has been left out of the obituary was her amazing, life long career in healthcare, taking care of the ill and infirm for decades. First, as a young RN at Bellevue, and later on as a trail blazer in the first graduating class from Columbia University's Nurse Practitioner program. Her career as an NP culminated in her directorship of the Fashion Institute of Technology's student healthcare system, where she touched the lives of students and colleagues alike. I was lucky to have been her son.”
